Weekend Recap: Labor Day Weekend

Well, this is a little late, but here is a recap of our Labor Day weekend. As I’m trying to recall what we did, I realize that it actually wasn’t anything too special, but it was still a good weekend. Friday we tried a new place downtown, the Brix Detroit . Which is a wine and charcuterie boutique – basically my kind of bar. The wine and our charcuterie boards were great, so I’m a huge fan. Saturday was a lazy day spent watching spent watching U of M football with friends and laying around. Sunday during the day we finally unpacked and cleaned up from being out of town for two weeks, so while that wasn’t fun it was definitely needed. Sunday night we celebrated the last night of summer before school started with a “glow party” at our friends. Their daughter kept wanting a glow stick party after we had them at our wedding, it was so cute watching everyone make sure they glowed enough for a picture. Monday was spent having a family game day and getting ready for the first day of school. Like I had said the weekend wasn’t filled with a ton of exciting events but was a nice low key weekend with my people.
