48 Hours in D.C. – What I Want To Do

A lot has been accomplished since my last update. The invitations are completed and sent out, we actually have already received a few RSVPs!!!! Last night we had a food tasting with the cater, the everything was amazing- it’s going to be so hard to narrow it down. Speaking of food, we booked our rehearsal dinner! What started as a quick trip to Michael’s to get one thing, turned into a half a day wedding decoration shopping on Sunday. We went to two additional Michael’s, Joann Fabrics, Home Depot, Lowe’s and Pier 1. But we ended up figuring out how we are doing the seating chart and got almost all the decorations for the centerpieces- so it was a very productive day. And my dad is currently working on building our bar!!! I almost forgot we met with the church to pick our readings and music. Every day it feels like we are adding something else to the to-do list, but at least we are checking off things too – so it evens out, right?
This weekend is our first big wedding type event, the bridal shower!! The wedding seems more real as it gets closer and because of all the prep we are doing, but I feel like after the shower it will feel really real (if that makes sense).
