Gingerbread Houses

Last weekend we finally found time to decorate our gingerbread houses! We made sure to grab some extra candy at the store to make sure we had plenty of choices. And I learned my lesson last year… that just using the icing the kit comes with to build the house does not work, you also need a glue gun. I love seeing the kids get creative and all come up with their own design. Jared went with a minimalist look, while Leighton made sure to include a little bit of everything… including a candy cane garden and Camden struggled at first to have anything stick to her house, but she managed to turn things around and create mini-masterpiece.
