Going on a Gnome Hunt at Pond Hill

For the last seven years, we have been going to Pond Hill Farm at least once a year. It quickly became one of our favorite up-north Michigan destinations- wine, cider, animals, great food, and activities for kids (and adults), what’s not to LOVE!

Between the squash launcher, baby pigs, trout pond, playground, fantastic salsa and chips, and the best spritzer around, we usually end up spending at least half a day at Pond Hill.

Last year we went on the Gnome hunt for the first time, not only did the kids have fun but Steve and I enjoyed it as well. So we knew that it would be the perfect socially distanced activity to do with our friends while up-north this year.

After having lunch at Pond Hill’s outdoor cafe, we got a refill on your drinks, gathered the kids from the playground, and headed off down the trails to find the Gnome houses.

We followed the kids down through the trails as they searched for the Gnome house, each house had a letter on it, which revealed a secret code. The weather was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed being outdoors exploring the property at Pond Hill.

Not only did we enjoy the Gnome hunt, but we also had fun playing corn-hole (Jared and Camden beat Steve and me), petting and feeding the goats, sipping on a wine flight, and feeding the trout.
