Happy 8th Birthday Leighton
October 7, 2018Date Night In
October 29, 2018For me, the unofficial start of fall is when we go to pick pumpkins, which I always try to do in the being of October (or the last week of September like we did this year), early I know. Every year we go to one of the pumpkin patches in Romeo to find our perfect pumpkins (which I love doing since I grew up in Romeo), this year was Big Red Orchard and then we go to lunch or dinner at Youngers… we are pretty big into traditions over here. This year there was a little more rain and mud then I would have liked, but a few raindrops never slowed us down. We were able to do everything we normally do- take a tractor ride, pick our pumpkins, climb the hay barrels, see the animals, get donuts and cider and there were no crowds! Our standing rule is if you can carry the pumpkin, you can get it, really needs to be changed… since it currently only works for Leighton. Luckily Jared and Camden weren’t interested in getting the biggest ones they could find this year. Next up is painting the pumpkins!
